You sure can add a day/hour/minute counter. Open GameSalad and click the tap on the right that says "New." On the third row far right, there should be an OSTime Demo.
It should have exactly what you need
as someone new to GS:
1. make a bookmark folder for GS and add all links you will use … such as YouTube GameSaladCookbook channel; this forum; gshelper.com; etc.
2. click on the Cookbook link at the top of this page … do the GettingStarted and Making it better Tutorials
3. play around in GS … open the tabs … click all the buttons … drag in all the behaviors so you can see their format
4. do the basics … make an actor and see how you can change its attributes … import an image and drag it onto an actor … import a sound and make it play … make and actor move … etc.
5. add attributes to the game and scene and actor
Enjoy the adventure!
