Any tips on the best way to upscale a project from ipad to mac desktop?

Also - there are 2 project options in GS, Mackbook and 720P. Which of these should I be using when creating for the Mac Store?

Thanks

    Hey ,
Did you know you can publish your iPad game as it is to mac? the mac appstore supports the iPad resolution for apps
So basically all you have to do is to press "publish for mac" when you publish via GS.

Oh, and you gonna need to replace text like "TAP HERE" to "CLICK HERE" because apple don't wants people to "Tap" the desktop with their finger ;)

    Cheers.

Great advice from Roy. Only one thing, I'm sorta certain that you can publish an iPad game as it is to the Mac Store providing it's landscape format, not portrait. Anyone know differently?

I've managed to get a portrait iPad game into the mac store by making it start up full screen so it shrinks it to fit. However, I've heard that this has not worked for others, so YMMV

@gryroscope … think you are so right!
Some monitors will truncate the iPad Portrait … only the bottom 50 or so pixels … my old one (1366x768) did; my new one doesn't.
still, best to only use landscape format…
in addition landscape is more proportional to monitorDisplay than portrait and looks more like it belongs on them.

also, even though GS makes you include the 1280x800 image … iPhone apps appear on Macs in the iPhone-size and I like that in both orientations!

the few games I have on the Mac look just awful in full-screen and are so much better, if I hit escape, which makes them appear iPad size!

iPhone and iPad games in GS can both be published to the Mac AppStore without size changes! … though iPad should be landscape.

@P-O-M =)) … that desktop screen-touching thing is what I did when I first got an iPad!
