    the circles actually do go around the object. I can make another video with transparent/semi transparent to show you.

    @joshuawilde

    has anyone seen it yet?

    Excellent, works really well, with a bit of playing around this could look really convincing.

    i realized what @johnpapiomitis was talking about is actually the particles used to make the liquid look smoother. The actually circles do work like liquid though.

    @motherhoose did you see my example?
  • MotherHooseMotherHoose Member Posts: 2,456
    yes, I did … @joshuawilde … I liked some of the effect … did not like the large green blocks (to chunky) and think the particles should be a less wide field!

    still … I liked the look of fluidity! good work! on a very difficult to do visual effect!

    and this is just a demo so the green blocks can easily be changed but thanks for the tip on the particles

    you guys should look at my game called Gateway. It is sort of like Portal 2.

    thanks everyone. i really appreciate it

    this is probably the best thanks i have ever received on this forum. thank you everyone. Now we just need to find out how to make it better.
  • joshuawildejoshuawilde Member Posts: 96
    maybe we could use images
  • RDRD Member Posts: 88
    Thinking each particle could be like a semi-circle, and the sharp, flat side points to the middle of the squishy fellow. That way it may end up a bit more as a single blob.
  • joshuawildejoshuawilde Member Posts: 96
    wow @RD didn't think of that. I might try that.
  • RDRD Member Posts: 88
    Just thought maybe I could show a demo of the idea referenced above. Each individual semi-circle uses the physics to bounce around n' stuff.
    Moo!
  • joshuawildejoshuawilde Member Posts: 96
    thats great @RD but how would i create custom collision for the semi circles. They would have to be circular collisions.
  • MotherHooseMotherHoose Member Posts: 2,456
    @RD … just wonderful!

    @joshuawilde … you got it! … use circular collisions …
    the transparent pixels on the bottom/inside of the images don't matter as they will automatically be in the collision area anyway.

    That video was so awesome!
  • joshuawildejoshuawilde Member Posts: 96
    i guess that would work. I can modify it and post another video soon
  • joshuawildejoshuawilde Member Posts: 96
    i wouldn't be able to squeeze into tight spaces though. In that way it would sort of defeat the purpose of liquid. Unless you want it for some other reason
  • CloudsClouds Member Posts: 1,599
    The semi-circle idea would make no difference as far as I can see ? You'd be just as well off using circles.
  • joshuawildejoshuawilde Member Posts: 96
    that is what i thought
