So we just got Tables.
What's up next? has anything changed?
What and when are we getting more?

Also I would like suggest a Save Attribute function that saves ALL attributes at once.

    I'm glad that I at least gave a couple people a giggle tonight :)
    Dead End? :( too many holes in the map you say?.. haha I dunno.

    I'm really excited about Sprite Sheets and Joints... And video will be great when that happens.
    But when Sprites and Joints get here I will be a busy camper!

    Yeah that thing got blown up. I'd say the closest thing to a road map is the 2012 sticky of year ahead thingy.

    God damn it, give me joints! I need joints, i crave joints, i sleep joints! JOINTS JOINTS JOINTS! Did you hear that GameSalad? Just in case you missed that ... Joints please ;)

    Yeh updated roadmap would be good, I'm sure a lot of resource is going into the architectural overhaul which will be the best thing to ever happen to GameSalad.

    @MotherHoose - A save attribute for all isn't such a good idea. I use many attributes that i wouldn't want included in a save, however, what would be useful is on the save attribute if we could have a checkbox or something on all our attributes and you select what ones in one behaviour you want saving!

    AH @beefy–clyro … did you think about asking for joints? seems I have seen joints mentioned frequently lately. L-)

    +1 to an updated roadmap

    ok … see why Save All attributes isn't great! … perhaps just putting an * at the beginning of the name of attributes I want to save will help me.

    by the way, I think joints would be wonderful to have, do you agree?

    I agree, video would be great!
    though we all probably can rig together something with changeAttribute self.image and timing sync to audio assets … and, even get it reasonably smooth-running … it is just so much hassle for short segments!

    alas, had GS focused on the development of video and tables as pro features (rather than Android) … they would have $500 from me, today

    think, when we are out of lua, we will get video … GS intro video runs through the gameEngine!

    and, of course, I hope we get the joints as a standard feature … and soon.

    @motherhoose okay let me rephrase, "I'm eager" for video. And I agree, once they strip away lua it should produce a feature rich environment. I think GS realized that others were willing to pull back the curtain and there was no point in trying to hide their development tools through the veil of lua. Taking out the work of writing the translation back and forth should remove tons of work on their end and is a very smart move on their part. It cuts their development man hour cost and speeds delivery of features and improvements. And I contend, if they let us compile our own apps, it will cut the cost on their having to maintain a large server farm. If they sell a great feature rich, well designed interface people will buy it. Although, you might be able to add snippets of code, I don't think the real market GS is a free vs pro, I think it is in making one piece of software to sell to everyone for one price just like photoshop et..and then sell a pro service for extra support. I think if the price it right say $300 or so for everyone and have a demo version for free that only allows you to say publish to the arcade would be ideal. Then it doesn't matter if you add snippets of code because they are not trying to sell little features but everyone is picking up the cost. So if you have say 300 pro users at $500 that is $150,000 per year but if you have 5000 users at $300 that is $1,500,000 big difference in the math!

    Haha loving the effort guys ... Wonder if GameSalad has heard us yet? Maybe we just need to freak them out until they give in! lol. In all seriousness, joints would open up a huge array of games.
