So Im curious: How many games do you make a year and how long does it take you per game, on average?

For me I've made 3 games in 2 years, not many but I haven't had the luxury of being able to work on them full time.

    On average?
I've only made one, Penguin Pounce.
It took me close to 5 months to complete it (mostly because I do a lot of the art)

So an average around 2 a year.

I'd say about three games a year, on average between 3-4 months for each one.

3-4 games or utilities per year at anywhere between 1-8 months per game.

I think my first will take 2+ years. That's cause I'm making it in a spare time, and not on the constant basis. For example, when Skyrim came out, I did nothing for the game for the whole month :( . Also for the first half year, I had worked on the old mac mini. And it was pretty hard to work on such and old machine.

We did two last year. Three if you count that one was both a full scale iPad version and an iPhone version. This year we plan on doing two major apps and maybe two games.

I've been using GS since May last year and have only put out Duck Up! and even that only has a very small number of levels. I'm continuing to work on it now to add more content.

Personally, I'd prefer to make something really small and polished and to do it in a reasonable time frame (so that took nearly 9 months), but like you all I have to give is my spare time and it feels like a lot of sacrifices have to be made! :(

I'd love to be able to make my own games full time.
