    You've inspired me to rethink all of my menus and transitions :)
  • jonmulcahyjonmulcahy Member, Sous Chef Posts: 10,408
    thanks :)

    that entire menu system is in one scene, it tools weeks to tweak and get everything perfect.

    I just sent out like 20 review requests, and my prmac press release should go out in the morning. let's see if anything comes of this.

    Wow, looks very well done. How many copies have you sold on iOS compared to Droid?

    Missed this Jon, have it for iPad and very much enjoy it, if anyone is questioning whether to get it ... stop and just get it :)

    Good to see you releasing the iphone version. The game's definitily worth pursuing with multiple platforms and updates. Once I get round to updating the 'more games' page on my site (it's what I link to in-game) I'll add this one.

    By the way, there's a post on the TA dev forum where HeadCaseGames is saying free to download with 1.99 unlock for the full game is going well for their latest. Then again there's another thread saying peeps don't like that approach. Maybe it depends on the game.

    yuh the menu transitions is definitely cool. I'm thinking of using that kind of transition too for my next game.
    just wondering did you use a invisible camera control actor or just changed camera tracking values directly?
  • jonmulcahyjonmulcahy Member, Sous Chef Posts: 10,408
    @shmuley95 - iOS has sold a lot more that droid in the long run, but that's because the iPad version has been out since last june

    @beefy_clyro - thanks!

    @honeytribestudios - thanks! that's interesting about the unlock. I'm looking at doing that for my next game to see how it goes.

    @glgames - I have a 'script' actor in every screen that controls everything from the dialog boxes, events that happen on screen, and the camera in the main menu. based on what you click, it interpolates the camera origin to the new location.

    this morning my android press release goes out, sending out the iOS press release yesterday actually drove 8 sales on the android market, which had had 0 since release. it helped that I put in the press release that it was available on droid.

    sad to say, but the android market has already tripled the number of sales that the iOS version has, and the Kindle Fire has 6x the sales.

    i don't think the iOS store is what it used to be

    Interesting Jon ... What did you do about the sound delay? Also what resolution did you submit this to Kindle in?
  • jonmulcahyjonmulcahy Member, Sous Chef Posts: 10,408
    I didn't do anything about the sound delay, the only effects you would actually notice it on are few and far between.

    Between the android market and kindle I've got a 4.5 to 5 star rating, no one been complaining about the sound at all

    Suggestion - Put a tag in there for a "A long way home" I typed that in not realising it had to have mini on the end and struggled to find it :)
    Downloading now.

    I finally got it! :D

    I remember the day i saw the original version on toucharcade and instantly wanted to play it because of its simpel but highly atmospheric feel. But somehow i forgot about it and a few days later my iPad got stolen and since then i haven't bought a new one. So thanks, jon, for releasing the mini. (;

    Next time i'm checking the appstore i'll leave you a review on the german one.
    For now: really great game, i love the music, the fluid animations and the overall feel. I can't even imagine how such flawless and polished games can be made in gamesalad.

    THanks guys :)
    I spent a lot of time working the game. A solid month was spent making the walking/jumping/planet gravity working. I spent another 2 weeks building and tweaking the main menu system to keep It all inane scene.

    For those of you who bought it, (and liked it :) ), would you mind leaving a review? I don't think it's got one yet.

    i bought the iPhone version because the fact u did that game play with game salad is impressive to me!
    but i think the name might be putting some people off,
    "mini" immediately made me thing "light" or "free" or mini game"
    like its incomplete
    about to play and leave the first review!
    idk why you haven't review it your self yet! always nice to get the first review to be 5 stars
