Pinball Flippers? Is this possible? and how?

Hey guys the best way to describe what I want is the equivalent of pinball flippers that can be moved with your finger. They should only have a few degrees of movement.. then snap back to their original position.. Is this possible to do with GS? if so is there a tutorial or a video I can watch? I am pretty familiar with GS but achieving this is beyond me. Any help would be amazing!

Thank you in advance everyone!

There used to be a pinball template but I believe they are all gone...
But anyway, it can be done!
    Hope that helps a bit.

Just thought of another way to do flippers. It is based on RKS' use of two persistent behaviors -- Sort of a Jedi mind trick he used on GameSalad: http://forums.gamesalad.com/discussion/35841/how-to-rotate-from-a-different-axis-the-much-much-easier-way-rks/p1

Anyway, here is a way to do flippers without a bunch of math (but a lot more trust):

I feel like the guy will a million questions... The flipper template that rthurman gave me is great... but if I add a ball the flippers move.... how do I stop this?

Wow @rthurman You could have just done when touch is pressed rotate to angle! :)

@LeonardDeveloper .... Yes you could use a simple rotate to angle. It all depends on what is needed. And sometimes a simple rotation really is all that is needed. (But only sometimes.) I assumed that PixelPun already knew how to rotate an actor and that he wanted a flipper -- not a actor that rotated at its center. But you might be right! Perhaps it is overkill for a simple question.

@PixelPun .... I'm not sure which flipper template you are referring to. (I showed two ways to do it.) However, my guess would be that you need to set the density of the flippers to something fairly high. (A lot higher then the ball.)

I've made you a quick demo (attached) - use the space bar to actuate the flipper.

I thought about a new thread but the guys posting in this are still here so didn't see the point!

@socks thanks man it works great, i turned on fixed rotation on the flippers to stop them moving down when hit, only happens sometimes though and i also added an unmovable actor below the flippers that the flippers collide with so to double check they won't move down when the ball hits them,

but yeah thanks mate, this was a real help, i was trying to do it with an angle offset, varied results that were rubbish, so simple really! thank you
