Pause before doing other actions

Hey there guys,
So I'm working on a game right now where when you touch the screen, an actor falls down. However, when you touch the pause button the actor begins to fall before the game pauses. It is the same while pressing reset. Is there any way to have these actions happen before the actor falls?

    You may be having the same problem I described here: http://forums.gamesalad.com/discussion/37641/pause-and-unpause-timer. I was finding that the behaviors right after/below a pause (sequentially) were running before the pause game behavior. The solution was to wrap those behaviors (in your case, the actor falling) in a timer set to after 0.1 seconds. I'm not sure if that will help you, but maybe it will lead you to a solution.
