I was trying to think up a developer name for my upcoming series of genre shattering game titles (Donkey Invaders™, Tetris vs Zombies™ and Angry Developers™) but how do I know if the name I think up has already been taken ?
For instance let's say I come up with the name "ABC games" and set about making a logo, splash screen, icon (and so on) . . . only to find out that there is already an 'ABC games' doing brisk business on iTunes, basically how do I avoid this, there doesn't seem to be an obvious way of checking if the name you dream up is already being used ?

After that, when setting up QS, I went through company's house, which sets up your company name and you can check if there's a similar named company in your field.
