The iPad version of Honey Tribe is now live on the store. It looks and plays really nice on the bigger screen of the iPad.

    @Braydon_SFX - Cheers. Haha, was that a spelling mistake or a Freudian slip? :)

    @P-O-M Cheers, yeah I feel better having out on both iphone and ipad now. Surprising how different it feels playing on a bigger screen. Kinda makes me want to make something which is only for ipad and utilises all the screen space.

    @HTS...yes it does make a big difference...playtesters always seem to have a better experience when playing my Zeke in Orbit on iPad. I must say Collony Collapse looks amazing on the big screen! I haven't been here recently but your other game Ao is looking spectacular as well, keep on with the good stuff shaz!

    @floydianspiral - Cheers Brendan. Yeah ipad def feels more like a natural gaming device. Apparently it makes up 30% of the iOS market now. And when ipad3 come out that may increase even more. So what happened to the music game you were thinking about making?

    theres just something about the music in this game thats quite awesome... i can't quite put a nail on it i think its when you collect the flowers but its just awesome..lol

    @SAZ_1 - Ah that awesomeness comes from decades of musical training in the snowy mountain tops Tibet. For 3 years straight my masters made me stare at a tambourine while blind-folded and with no respite. Slowly the secrets of nature and music intertwined within my mind revealing truths that would shock and awe the ordinary layman. The result.... is what you see and hear in the video above.

    Hehe, sorry. It was a Freudian slip for sure, although, I think you might as well change your name to that as this game will probably make a lot of money. ;)

    @SAZ_1 - Wayne? Wayne...? Hmm, names rings a bell. Think there was some guy who used to go jogging past my tambourine muttering something about Wayne Enterprises.

    @Braydon_SFX - Well I wouldn't presume anything. But I'm feeling positive about going down the 'freemium' route. Will soon see once Apple approve my updates.

    I remember Honey tribe got featured in a few places like pocketgamer etc. , i think if you hit up them with like a promo release email they'd probably mention it in an article because its a fantastic game, why don't you try that with minor promotion and then if it fails make it free and promote it like hell lol.

    @SAZ_1 Yeah, I was a bit slow on the promo side with this one. But the sites that reviewed the iphone version have been mailed so I'll see if they write about the ipad release.

    If you don't already use google alerts to monitor any news/reviews you are getting for your apps I'd recommend it.

    @floydianspiral - Sounds interesting. I've got the iphone version of Zeke but now I have an iPad I'll try it on that. I find myself wanting to try games out on the iPad over the ipod.

    Hey Syed, yeah things go well. Just taking a short break from the games to make some new music. Which is a nice change. Although it can seem to go fast sometimes, making games is a gradual, time consuming process. As you all know. (Well except tshirtbooth, I think he makes games while he sleeps). Music comes more naturally to me so it's nice just to enjoy making something from scratch that I know will be finished in a few days.

    With your family - well, no need to twist their arms. I don't want you getting into any fights over it ;) b-(

    How about you? When do you think we'll be playing your new platform game?

    right now well who knows! lol music funnily has been a big problem for me recently ... i was hoping for it to have been done by now (but was let done by the person i had doing it) so i could prep for a early/mid March launch... still haven't sorted it out ... you fancy making my games music??? :D

    Honey Tribe is out for Kindle and Android tablets on Amazon today!

    Apparently there's 31,000 apps out on the Amazon store compared to over half a million on iOS so hopefully Kindle peeps will stumble across it more easily ...

    Halo 4 is only 2.5 times more popular than Honey Tribe! Well, kinda...

    So does anyone know a youtube channel called 'YogTrailers'? I'd never heard of it before but they posted the Honey Tribe trailer and 'narrated' over it. Which is what the channel is about - rambling over the top of trailers.

    Somehow their channels have millions of views and subscribers. I'm guessing it must be kids who like them? Well anyway our (normal) Honey Tribe trailers only got around 5k views between them. Then these guys go and post it and it gets 46k views in 2 days! (With their Halo 4 vid getting 2.5 times more than that).

    How much download do you do on the amazon store?. On the app store I made a little number of download...I was thinking if I will publish my game on the amazon app sore too.

    Amazon sales have been low so far. I might just make it free. Will see. Hopefully other peeps have found better results with being on kindle.

    hey shaz, i've heard of these yogcast guys, very popular on youtube and always featured on the games sections there... they commentate over game videos (think of call of duty guys but anything from minecraft to dead space) ... it will be good publicity for your game.
