what size image do you use for your background in your game?
I know 480x320 is your camera size. Is it ok if i use 480x320px image? or cut them into smaller size? which one better?
because 480 x 320 the engine will count it as 512 x 512.
any suggestion?

I use 960 X 640 for all my backgrounds since retina display is the immediate future. And I use "resolution independence" in GameSalad for older devices.

I always export my art at 960x640 and then resize it to 480x320 and 72dpi...

does that take alot of ram? what if you have a large scene?

Depends on whether or not you are creating a entire background as big and wide as your scene, or if you scroll the background. If you want a background to be an entire image for something that's 1500 pixels high and 8000 pixels wide, you would need to break it up into smaller sections no bigger than 1024x1024. It takes up some ram, but you will have to test it out to see how well it does.
