So Im trying to get a 60 frame full screen animation to run... just making full 1k frames (didn't think it would work) and putting them in an animation..no way it will run.
Any thoughts on how to get a little animation at the beginning of the game?

theres a trick that i use, which involves separate, animated actors. timers. timed sound. camera pannings, zooming in and out. also utilize the layers. it is possible cause myself and others have done it, but it takes a little method. thats all.

unless your talking FMV, thats STILL possible but it takes a little longer.

u can export the fmv into a png sequence and throw EACH frame into imageAlpha for compression and the throw THAT into gs as an animation.

Really there is no need to have a frame rate that high for animation. Ten FPS works well and it's how I build out all my animations. The only problem with full scale is the image size but I use other tricks to size down my stuff. If you have skype send me a PM and would be willing to share how I do it. check out this thread you may find it interesting. http://forums.gamesalad.com/discussion/40335/gss-animate-is-screwed#Item_43
