Ad showing up within app

Hey gamesalad crew,

So I just got a call from Apple saying my app was rejected because I needed to remove the ad that was showing up within my app. Now when I tested my app, there was no ad, but it's showing up apparently in the final version at apple. I do remember a GS update a while back saying something about having ads come up (which I can't exactly remember what I was agreeing to at this point)...

Right now I'm using the free version. Do I need to upgrade to get rid of the ads or is there another way to do it??

    Yes, free version builds put a play haven ad at the start, pro members can switch this off.

    @katapps ... if I were you i would consider running a copy of your app back to 0.9.9.0 (pre-playhaven ad version). that way you could re submit without the issue. This thread would help you try it:

    The program to replace text seemed to work just fine... but when I try to upload the app after doing this process I am getting the following error message from App Uploader:

    The application wrapper must end in .app. /var/folders/3t .... (and it goes on...)

    Have you had this problem, or do you know how to change my "application wrapper"... ?

    so does this mean apple wont allow the play haven ad? iam a pro member and gonna upload an app with playhaven soon.

    I don't think it's playhaven in general.. it was specific ad they were concerned about in relation to my app. GS support says they're looking into it though and hopefully will get back to me..

    Ok.. wow.. so it's more of a problem than with just mine. @TheNegroMario I would email them by clicking the Report a Bug link below. I hope this gets resolved soon so we can get our apps in the store!
