Progress bar for my game.

Hey guys,

I know this sounds pretty dumb, but I guess I've just been having a REALLY bad afternoon. :P

I want a progress bar that will fill up (not move self.position x like in TSB's progress bar template with the player and scene size etc) when I get enough points.

Example: when I decide to give points to the player, I want the progress bar to fill up a little.
You can continue to gain points until the progress bar or power bar is full.

Any Idea how I would do this?

Braydon

    Use the health bar video.

    Hey @tshirtbooth - sounds good.
    Love those wings! Amazing!

I did what you said and it seems to be working but with a few glitches. I can't wait for that video or demo file.

    How's the tut coming, @tshirtbooth?
Hope you didn't have any heart burn from those wings last night. ;)

    @tshirtbooth, thanks for the demo.
Take your time on the video, I think I can read tshirtbooth code. :P

    Hey guys,

I saw and downloaded @tshirtbooth 's demo, and I followed it to the letter. Works pretty good.
The only problem is that when the progress bar is full, it moved from it's original spot.
I think it did this because it's changing it width. So, I cannot find a way to make it stay in the spot I want, even if it fills up.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks,
    Bray

@tshirtbooth - Well, let me explain it this way:

In my game, you need so many points to move on to the next "level"
But you won't get all the points you need in a single try, so you have to play multiple times.

So, what I had to do is, when you die, is change game.ScoreKeeperForNeededPoints to game.ScoreKeeperForNeededPoints+game.score. So this way, it will hold that rounds score, so it doesn't go away.
Could this bring up a problem?

    Haha, yep, that's what I'm doing, @tshirtbooth. :)
But I'm still having this problem where the bar will move..

@Braydon_SFX you are lucky that TSB created demo file for you.

@tshirtbooth. I can send you the file if you'd like.

@creativeapps - yes, and I followed it. I had to tweak it to my needs, which is why, I think, something went wrong and that's why the bar moves when it fills up.
What's supposed to happen, is that the right side of the bar will move to the right, making it look like the bar fills up. This works, however, when its almost full, the left side starts moving too.
