Star Serum Icon Help/Opinions

Hi Guys

Thought i'd start a quick thread to get some opinions on the Icon mockups for Star Serum. If you do not know what Star Serum is about, you can view it here;

Now I always struggle with icons and have come up with 3 so far;

    Second one looks awesome but I would try to add a little more color somehow. It seems a little dark and not eye catchy. I would say prob the third from an eye catching standpoint

    Looking good. The art is looking nice for this game.

    Yeah the second one is best. Possibly lighten some of the darker areas?

    @uptimistik, @tendrmer and @HoneyTribeStudios ... Thanks you very much for your opinions. I was feeling the 2nd looks the best until scaled down and then the 3rd stands out easier.

    They all look nice, but I would say the third because it catches your eye more. Also, from the screen shots I've seen, the third looks like the best choice because of the art style that is displayed from the screen shots.

    2nd for me as I think it will appeal to the largest demographic (compared to 3) and the background in the first merges with the character so it leaves no.2 :D Though they are all pretty sweet!

    @Braydon_SFX Thank you ... Its nice to hear a different opinion :) As for the art style, the cartoon style is only to narrate the story throughout, the gameplay is more or less all the style form the 1st and 2nd icon.

    @Bright-Spark-Games ... I tend to agree. The 2nd reflects more of the games style and i think will appeal more to the sci-fi fans but i do think 3 wins scaled down .. Hmmm.

    I like the second one but I think if there was more contrast between the guy and the background it would stand out a bit more. Maybe a bit thicker black stroke and then lighten up the background a bit.

    @scitunes ... Cheers man, i agree, need to try an tweak it a bit to make it stand out more. Have emailed my artist to see if he can do anything!
