Twitter question

According to the docs, "...Also, each tweet will automatically generate a link to your game in the App Store. (iOS 5+ only)".

I have apps that are currently already in iTunes. I created and compiled a new version with the new Twitter behavior, using my app store provisioning profile. In testing on my devices, the tweets come out fine, but there's no auto-link to my app. Does the link only generate once the new version is live in iTunes?

EDIT: Here's the link to the tweet posted via the app. It does say it's from iOS, but no return link auto generated back the app.

Hmm One would think the auto linking thing would function as long as there was an active App ID to match on itunes. But maybe it is just a published version thing.

try making a distribution Adhoc. See if that makes a difference.

So...my app in question was released today for the iPad - http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/awesome-80s/id513159017?ls=1&mt=8

The tweets are still not automatically linked to the app (check the second tweet in the list which was posted from the app: https://twitter.com/#!/100ProofSW

I'll just make an update to the app to include a link, but was under the assumption (hoping) that this would be automatic. The only other thing I can think of is maybe because, while the app is 'live' in the store, it's still not on the new release list yet, only accessible via the direct link.
