iAd Increase

I was snooping around the News and Announcements section on the Apple Developers site and came across something potentially important. It says:

"The iAd mobile advertising network provides a simple and compelling way to generate additional revenue from your apps. Now we’re making it even better, raising your revenue share to 70 percent. The new revenue share goes into effect automatically on April 1 for all developers in the iAd Network."

Not too sure how much extra that means you would get paid but thought it was interesting, none the less.

    This is interesting. I think that the current percent of revenue paid is 60%. I will be interesting to see how much of a difference it will make.

    so apple now makes it the same as paid apps

    This 10% increase in revenue still doesn't interest me. My personal experience with iAd is that it is shockingly bad.

    @Megapixelideas Because even with thousands of downloads a day you only make a couple bucks a day. they have horrible fill rates meaning most of the time ads are not shown. and when they do show an ad its rarely worth anything.

    Yeah I guess I sort of agree with you guys. I only make about 3 dollars a day with iAd, but is still adds up to about $100 a month.

    Just something quick, how much do you guys make off of iads each day/week?

    Three weeks ago when I released my first iAd app I was making anywhere from 50 to 90 cents a day. More recently it's anywhere from 12 cents to nothing per day. And that's with three free iAd apps now. The iPhone fill rate sucks! about 50 percent compared to 90 percent on the iPad. Same app on both.
