Why aren't PMs and notifications working?

Hello,
I've tried to PM some people, but never god a reply. Then I noticed that PMs and notifications don't work at all. Please fix this, because this is a curtail feature to the forums.

    the Private messages on peoples GS profile page are not a part of the forums and messaging someone on their vanilla forum profile is not at all private. Notifications do work but each user must actually activate them in their vanilla profile to get notified.

    I guess I also should have mentioned the GS messaging system has been broken forever and then some. so thats why you don't get replies if that what you are using. most people never check it.

    Yup, not checked mine in ages. I don't even class it that we have a PM system.
