Whats happened to internet forums?!

ok this isn't really anything to do with GS, but i've been looking to promote Frenzy Pop with the release tomorrow and was surfing the net on the big mobile gaming sites and all of their forums have been filled with adverts about bayern munich vs real madrid ... slidetoplay's forum is full of viagra adds and 148apps just took their boards down! ... its funny for about 1 second.. but i just don't get people who do this thing, whats the point?!

    advertising and spam. its a lazy and easy way to make money. not sure about the forums. they probably should have more mods/admins on hand to be able to handle the spamming. we have a small army of souschef here that do that pretty well
