hello, todays question. I have set up some actors into a table, that spawn at my level opening- i can only get them to spawn 1 at a time with a timer using random in the table, Question- can i call for them all to load from my table at 1 time and can i pick what column i want them from, i.e. col, 1,5,8,10 sort of thing and can i some how remove the timer

@gotyours ... maybe use the one actor and drag many of them into the scene out of view. Then open each and set their x and y to the columns you want. Or don't open them but in your prototype set the self position x and y to choose randomly from the table.

cool glad to help, (P-Force was my first effort playing around with GS a long while ago and was my 12 yr olds direction so it's very rough) ... still pretty new to game development but thanks to a lot of help here am starting to feel pretty comfortable in GS. Re: Tims, sure anytime let me know.

@gotyours ... do you need to use spawn? Could you have all the actors you want just off scene at the start and then change their x and y to be in scene at the start? If need be you could spawn further actors after the start if that is what your game play needs. (I have a game I'm working on that does this .. 10 actors drop in at the start and then a spawner release more actors randomly as the game goes on).

am taking there x,y from the table and using 1 actor i think i could do it the way you are talking about but i am not sure how to do it with 1 actor and making them into more then 1, the way i have it set now is with a boolean so when scene start it spawns 1 every sec and then i turn the spawn to false to stop the spawn, and it is random, i want to get the random out so i can re us the table in each lvl with the x, y i want in each lvl

hey that worked out well, so much better then having them spawn on a timer and i like that i can pick the column, makes programming all the levels so much faster
