I was wondering if there was a program for the iPad i could use to make art for my app. Also i am not a great artist and was wondering if the iPad was easier to use than say a computer art program.

I personally really like Inkpad and Intaglio (I own others). iDraw is alright, but the rest listed really suck. For pixel art, I really suggest ArtRage and ProCreate for real effects and the best looking. OmniSketch and TileDeck are great for patters, backgrounds, and just cool looking effects. You might have heard of Paper, a free app, which is also alright.
    Hope that helps!

I still suggest Inkpad as the best, but I just bough Touch Draw and iDraw and they are almost neck and neck with Inkpad. They're really good. I'll write a review of them all when I get a chance.

touchdraw is a good app for vector graphics, and you need a stylus to really do it though, and personally I prefer a computer.

I have procreate and sketchbook pro... But sketchbook is really only for sketching ideas... It would be to troublesome to put in your games ;)

I have a rough sketch of my logo done in Intaglio or iPad that I'll be asking opinions on pretty soon. Keep an eye out for it.

Personally, I always work on a computer to do my art. I hate doing art on an iPad and so far haven't found an iPad app that really has the precision needed.

Inkpad is excellent, but iDraw's latest release just gives it the edge IMHO.

thanks for all the responses and suggestions. i think for the cost/benefit the iPad will be better for me, than say a more expensive computer art program. maybe as i advance in the field of art i will branch into computer art.

    thanks,
