It's totally normal. It usually stay in the "Waiting for review" state for about a week. Then it will go "In review" and if there are no problems it will become "Ready for sale" within 24 hours.

They will release it right away if it's approved after your release dat.

@crazycam99 ... I would wait until you receive a notification that is in review and then change the release date for that day. If still in review the next day move the day for release again. There has been a bit of discussion on these dates but I haven't seen anything concrete so I try to get Apples approval date and my release date the same in case it effects showing in the Newly released lists.

Just leave the release date as May 1st or whatever. If you change it to a later date (as I have in the past), then it ruins your release as it doesn't show in the new releases list. This also affects it (as tested by myself in January) when you set the release date before you submit the game. Basically, if you upload it and leave it as the upload date then it will show on the new releases section. If you faff about with it, it'll bodge it up and ruin your sales/exposure.

5 days is definitely normal, recently it's been 7-8 days before it goes in to review.

My last couple of games took about seven days to get into review, which is actually pretty good IMO. Once in review they were approved the same day.

I have published 8-9 apps on iOS and they take 6-7 days to get approved. I've had apps "in review" for as little 10 minutes to as much as 2 hours. Just depends on the reviewer I guess!
