Weird iPad Image Issue

I'm working on the iPad version of my game and I noticed something weird.

I originally set up actors as just blocks of color, 72 pixels square. I now have graphics that I want to pull in that are 72 pixels square. When I drag them onto the stage they are only about 28 pixels though and if I resize them up to 72 they are really pixelated. There is no "resolution independents" for iPad GS files but it seems some like that is happening.

Anyone seen this issue before? Have I corrupted my file somehow?

Thanks.

Rich

Sure thing, re: the size, I mean the resolution...

    Hi @richcoy Rich

It's sounding like your image resolution isn't 72ppi... (possibly 144ppi or something...)

Yeah, I think so too but when I open the images in Fireworks they are 72 pixels square. It's when I drag them into GS that they end up 28.7457.

@gyroscope is referring to the dots per inch, not the dimensions of the image. Check the image's resolution--it should be 72 dpi.

Oh, Gosh. That's embarrassing. Some how my Fireworks got changed to 72 pixels per centimeter, instead of 72 pixels per inch. lol. Thanks guys. Been a LONG day. :)

Nice to see I'm not the only one who uses Fireworks for graphics. Love it!
