Amazon price change - not working

Hey all,

I have a quick question.
I changed the price of my app on the Amazon Store about 2 weeks ago. It still hasn't changed, I don't know why.
Has anyone else had this problem?

Any idea what I should do?

Braydon

Are you trying to increase your price? Amazon does have a claus that states the following in the developer docs:

Section i. List Price. The "List Price" for an App is an amount that does not exceed, at any time, the lowest list price or suggested retail price for such App (including any similar edition, version or release) available on any Similar Service or the lowest actual price at which you make such App available for sale through any Similar Service. You will update the List Price for each App as necessary to ensure that it meets the requirements of this Section 5i.

They also have the ability to change your pricing, and have done this before to developers.

You have to submit an update

@jonmulcahy - I did. That was about 2 weeks ago.

i meant you need to submit an actual update, i.e. you need to upload a new build of your game.

i had the same problem when dropping the price of one of my games, it took a real update to make it go through.

@Braydon_SFX I had this exact same problem. I switched my app to free (even submitted a new build), but it didn't take. I finally contacted their support and was told that THEY (amazon) determine the price. So if they don't want to make it free, they won't.

Pretty lame, but apparently its in their developer agreement.
