Do Word Games Sell?

Hey guys,
I am starting to plan out a word game where you have to find words in a certain order. The first time you have to find a two letter word, they disappear, and some new letters fall down. Then, you have to find a three letter word. They disappear. Then you have to find a four letter word, et cetera et cetera, until it finally gets to eight or nine. Different levels will have fewer vowels, things you don't want to get to the bottom, other things. That is my game. But since I am newer to publishing games, as I have never published one before, I want to ask people out there that have one published if you are actually selling more than just 5 or 6 copies. Word games can sell alot....if its something new and clever.....think how many people play crosswords.
