I have always other fonts, the font should match to your game...
I don't have any favourite fonts,but take a look
at dafont.com,there are some great fonts, for every type of game

I have to agree with @uptimistik. If Arial isn't thick enough of a font, then there's Arial Black. -

Lolcats use Impact, Apple products use Helvetica and philosophical essays use Times New Roman.
Those fonts all do a good job at what they do. -
