Kindle fire?, Nook tablet?, Nook Color? -Help?-

Hey All,
Well anyway I figured its time for pro to be kickin' in
I'm from Ireland as some of you may know; These tablets are not available here, So I'm going to buy one of ebay.ie :) But first would like to know which one would be better for testing GS games... I found a nice nook color for sale; which is already "Rooted" which could be useful.... But I still have no idea; Even after countless episodes of reviews... So I was hoping you guys could help?,
Cheers,
J.Leonard

    I'd get a kindle fire, last i checked it was the most common android tablet out there, it's what I use for android dev, and since it and the nook share the same resolution, you're good for both

    Hi there,
    I have both, and sometimes apps that work on the Kindle don't work on the Nook (weird). So what I've started to do is develop first for the Nook and then they work fine on the Kindle. So IMHO a Nook would be better :)

    @deadlights I actually have trouble the other way around. LOL

    @LeonardDeveloper the nook is a pain in the ass to test on. even after its rooted you still have to use terminal to load builds to the device and you must know the bundleID to remove it from your device. I would go for a kindle just because its ease of testing and generally close enough to nook color to rely on it for nook builds as well.

    Cheers

    The nook has a specific Appstore or it uses the Amazon also?
    ----
    I test my games in a Galaxy Tab 7''. Its the same resolution.

    :D I'm sure either will be fine, just remember that on the Nook you'll need to use the "hibernate" function. I once had an app rejected cause it didn't have that. As far as I know, only the Nook supports hibernate.

    @LeonardDeveloper its hard to get a nook account anyways if your not in the USA. You have to have a USA tax ID from the IRS and a USA bank account to even sell for the nook.

    so just go with the Kindle.

    Personally, I'm not going to worry about the Nook much anymore. My game is literally selling 100 to 1 on Amazon vs Barnes & Noble.

    Cheers for the reply; Opened my eyes..... So kindle's are probably best suited... the only thing is - Its hard to find one cheap on ebay here... people are stocking on an extra €100 to the price because of importing from America!

    @deadlights
    Hmmm nooks seem to be the cheapest here... I don't know though... they're rather tempting... But In my eyes kindles seem to be better
    @jonmulcahy
    Yeah - I'm quite attracted to going kindle... I don't know.. I still have a lot of mind-making to get up to... Was hoping you guys would make my mind for me ;)

    @deadlights
    Yeah - After hearing all about that on the forums - I'm sure I'll remember it ;)
    @scrapee_net
    I don't know.... Galaxy tab is a bit out of my reach at $500 - Don't want to spend that on something I'm only going to use for testing

    Galaxy tab is $200 on eBay.

    However, I would definitely recommend to go with the Fire.
