Question about Amazon & tax rules for international developers.

One of my games is selling well on amazon appstore (increasing day by day). So I'm now worried about the amazon tax rules for international developers. I read that they will "eat" 30% if not providede a valid IRS Form W8-BEN (with a valid U.S. TIN).

Have you already did this?
How complicated was it?

    I applied to obtain an EIN to compile the W8-BEN form but more than 2 weeks passed without an answer. I will try to resend the request again next week.

    The funny thing is that they say that it should take 1 week max to receive the EIN :(

    It is fast for US residents (you can get it online) ... but when things become manual, it gets slow.

    Yay! I just received my EIN! It took so long because they sent it to me via classic mail and it's a long road from Philadelphia to Rome :)

    Now I can finally compile my W8-BEN form. \m/

    I need to get a EIN also. My sales for one of my games is increasing. Almost doubling every day. Yesterday it was 216

    Which form should I fill:
    SS-4 or W-7. I'm an individual, from brazil.

    I'm an individual too. I compiled form SS-4 to obtain the EIN.

    Oh Fu**... There is not Tax Treaty between US and Brazil...

    This is the list of countries with which there is a treaty.

    This means, amazon will eat 60% of my revenue.

    And in Brazil I will also pay 27.5% of taxes.

    Its like, if from US 100,00, I will receive only US 29

    Big business...
