hey everyone i have a problem with one of my apps, the problem is the size of the text first time i made this app, i used adobe flash i had the stage size in adobe flash set to 960 by 640 i created all my pictures in their i exported them and sent them to Photoshop trimmed them saved them and put them on a usb and went to my imac to begin work. i had set the scene size to 960 by 640 and the camera size set to 960 by 640 i placed the pictures into position and added all the effects i needed buttons saying when i touch this, this will change and all that stuff but i went to test it and i realised the text was too small for anyone to read so i changed the camera size to 480 by 320, i got a great view but i couldn't see everything so i also changed the scene size to 480 by 320 but realised my graphics were to big they wouldnt shrink when i resized so i realised i have to start again.

back to flash i set the stage size to 480 by 320 i resized all the graphics set them in proper position made sure all were the same size exported all of them put them all back in photoshop fixed them all up (their is about 25 - 35 pictures) it was annoying but i kept at it i went back to my imac opened up gamesalad and back to work i go first thing i done was set up the first part not the whole thing (only 2 pics) i checked it and the text was way too small, the scene size was 480 by 320 and the camera size was 480 by 320 the text was blurry and looked worst then my first attempt so i was sitting there thinking what on earth can i do and i thought maybe if i add a scroll thing it would work great so i decided to go back to my first attempt to add a scroll.

so i was back at my first attempt i opened up game salad to my project file zoomed in the camera at 480 by 320 left the scene 960 by 640 but then i realize i have absolutely no idea on how to add it so i asked on the gamesalad forum helpful people sent me in the right direction to one of tshirtbooths tutorials, i watched made the necessary adjustments ( in the video he goes sidewards by putting X and says put Y if you want it up and down) but realised how would i get it to work if i needed one on the left and one on the right either way the tutorial didnt work for me ( i obviously done something wrong i just didnt know what) so once again i asked online someone said (sorry for not mentioning who) to set certain pixels on it but since i couldnt get tshirtbooths tutorial working i was stumped on how i was going to get this one to work.

so here i am once again on the forums asking for help is there something wrong with my graphics, is it the size i set the scene, what is it? if someone can help me maybe explain why this is happening and help me find a solution that would be awesome.

also i am extremely sorry if i spelt anything wrong or forgot to place full stops or commas in the right place i tend to do that when im typing on the computer its a bad habit which i need to break.

i will post the file if you guys need it to help solve my problem.

thanks for reading this essay :D i appreciate your help

If you want retina graphics, do 960x640 images. Then in GS, check the box that says resolution independence. That way the 960x640 images will be smaller.

It kind of sounds like a dpi issue. Are you saving the graphic files as 72 dpi?
