Game Center and GameSalad 0.9.94 - Game Center Not Working

Hi everyone,

Ok, so I'm just about finished updating one of our apps now that the 0.9.94 hot fix has arrived, but noticed a problem with the Game Center functionality that was already present within the game. After the user launches the app, within a few seconds, the Game Center Login behavior is triggered, but there is never any indication that the user is actually logged into their Game Center account while testing on a device. In previous versions of the app I am updating, Game Center would log in correctly, and since I haven't changed anything on the Game Center front for this version, I'm wondering if this is something others are seeing as well.

Also, throughout the game, I am posting scores automatically to Game Center leaderboards that were set up prior to the update I am working on. Previously, the entire posting and viewing process worked as intended, but now, I am unable to open the Game Center Leaderboards menu via the Show Leaderboard behavior. Again, I haven't made any changes to the way Game Center is set up within my app, so since it worked previously, I can almost rule out any kind of logic issues.

So, is anyone else still experiencing Game Center bugs in ad hoc builds with the latest version (0.9.94) of GameSalad? According to the release notes, some Game Center bugs were fixed with the release of 0.9.94, but for some reason I'm still experiencing the issues listed above. By the way, I am testing this ad hoc build on an iPhone 4S running the latest version of iOS - 5.1.1. Any info you might have to explain why Game Center functionality isn't working correctly within 0.9.94 would certainly be appreciated. Thanks guys!

    @osucowboy18- I researched your question with our QA team and have the following information to offer regarding your GameCenter issues:

    Currently we have a known issue that occurs with GameCenter on any iOS device that is running 5.1. The issue exists that GameCenter locks up if any GameCenter feature is triggered twice (example: logging in->showing leaderboard).

    We have implemented a temporary solution while we are speaking with Apple - as we believe this to be a potential issue with Apple's 5.1 code. Our temporary fix is to allow the user ONE chance to log in before disabling GameCenter. If that user hits cancel, then all GameCenter buttons appear to do nothing (since it is disabled).

    The current solution, log into GameCenter via the Native Apple GameCenter Application on the device. Once the user logs in and returns to the game, all functions will be restored.

    On devices using 5.0 and below, the user will be given 2-3 chances to hit cancel before GameCenter becomes disabled.

    We will update you as we hear more from Apple regarding GameCenter issues surrounding 5.1.

    Thanks for the info @LaurenSalad! I found when doing some additional testing that if I logged into Game Center manually through the Game Center app, everything worked properly. Therefore, do you all at GameSalad recommend waiting to submit the update to one of my apps until the situation is resolved with Apple, or will this most likely be a fix on their end that will filter down to my app eventually without requiring another update?
