Hi all

When you have a new game idea, should we develop on the iPhone 4s, or the iPhone 3GS as the main iOS platform?

Any iPhone 3GS and up should be a good start. What I like about the 3GS is that if it works on that one, it will work on all.

As for android, kindle is the way to go, but start with iOs, this is where to money is at.

Design at the iPhone4 so that it is Retina Display, and if your generation does not support it, the graphics will tone down. If you design for iPod Touch 1st Gen, Using an iPhone 4 generally will give you a really bad display, and will look gloomy and pixellated.
