How to move your character?

Hello i was wondering how to actualy move your character in my gamesalad game, i am making a 2d game where you can move left right, jump and shoot bullets, but i dont know how to make the character move left or right, or jump or even attack/shoot bullets, anyone know how to do this? please help.. (im working with the pc version)

    I haven´t tried GameSalad for windows but in the Mac version there is a template called PLATFORMER TEMPLATE inside GameSalad.

    If possible have a look at this or look in the cookbook or at gshelper.com because moving a character is basic GS-stuff.
