Inconsistent behavior in touchscreen between Android and iOS

Hi.

We're seeing inconsistent behavior in the touchscreen input between Android and iOS, the issue is that when the user touches the screen and then drags the finger outside of the screen, that registers as a touch release on iOS but not on Android, so it's like the screen is still being touched. This is causing some troubles with the game logic since some areas of the screen appear as if they're being pressed forever. Is this a known issue? Is there a way around it?

Thanks

This may be related to the device. I have a Kindle Fire and the touch screen is not as responsive as Apple's this may have more to do with the fact that Apple's touch screen technology is far better than most if not all others. Remember not all touch screens are the same designs and some are better than others.
