usb drive

hey folks i know this is kinda off the wall, but i have a external usb drive and i want to take my GS templates and all my stuff to do with GS and put it on there for back up reasons- when i hook it up i see the files i had on it when i used it on my pc but on my mac it says read only, any help would be great it is set a NTFS not sure if i have to formate it to FAT

    in order to write to an NTFS drive you'll have to download some 3rd party software, and most likely pay for it.

    if you want to use a drive with both PC and Mac, you're best bet is to format it for FAT32, that is compatible with both.

    another option is to format it as HFS+ and download MacDrive for windows, that will allow windows drives to read/write OS X partitions.

    i think, though im not entirely sure, you need to rename your .gsproj files to .gsuser to get it from pc to mac, and vice versa for mac to pc. Not sure if this is what you're referring to though
