These sort of ads, they're the 'splash screen' for free users...

that's the old splash screen, now it's your current one with a more games button on it, must less intrusive.

I'd recommend going pro - If you have some good apps out and your confident that you can make a mint with its features

i have not released any apps yet. if my first app get me about 1-2 buys a day, i will go pro.

I would recommend learning the software first and releasing a few apps to just "adjust to the temperature of the water" as the say,

Well, i must say. Even if there was a splash screen, how could that affect sales?
They have already bought the game;)

I would recommend going pro, even though im not pro,

    @SaladStraightShooter

When exactly does the splash screen occur?

In between the time you click on your app's icon and your first scene loads.

If you had pro, that wouldn't occur?

If you have the latest version of GameSalad you don't have problems with splash screens.

Just like @SaladStraightShooter, I'm confused as to why you WOULDN'T want your custom splash screen to display?

What I do on my apps is put a "Loading" screen there, and then I actually use the initial scene as my splash screen (because it's retina and it has sound). There is really a lot of flexibility to what you can do.

You could also just leave it blank and have 6 seconds of black screen until your first scene loads.

Going PRO is great deal and I really wish to go for that once they released LUA FREE Engine.

    Clearing all confusion:

    1. No Gamesalad splash screen - FOR ANYONE

    2. If you're a free member, you get a more games ad at the beginning of the game.

    3. If you're pro, you can put in your own custom splash screens with your own logo, but it isn't mandatory.

@nick98 - When publishing on the second screen there is an advanced options button in which you can upload your own.

Personally I don't like the idea of having ads on my paid games so I think pro is the better option. I'm enjoying my options with pro so far and expect it to only get better.
