how do you make all actors but one freeze?

Instead of using the pause screen behavior in gamesalad, I would like to have all my actors freeze in place(right where the are) and have a pause menu actor(not scene) drop into place. any suggstions?/???? :)

    lets just imagine those blocks are only suppose to bounce for 10 seconds...

    So the blocks start bouncing and you click the pause button at 4 seconds.
    how do you do it where you unpause, and it resumes to bounce for the remaining 6 seconds?
