Making movement fluent

Hello. I am about to publish my game to app store but I have a few questions before I do.
1. How would I make movement more fluent ?? (so I can run and jump at the same time, instead of having to jump then quickly press run button?)
2. When I have a jump reset (when in contact with ledge change attribute JUMP to 2) but sometimes it will not reset even though it is in contact with ledge.

Can anyone help me with this?? I will also be releasing a new trailer in a few days.

    I am using the when touch is pressed move -350 x.linear.velocity.
    Whenever I try to run then jump it always gets stuck on the corner of the platform. Any way to make this so it won't?.
