I don't know if this thread is started before, but I was thinking some of you guys that have made money with GS could share some results to motivate others. I know many want to be private with this, but maybe some of you are willing to share. What du you make? How do you make it? Paid Apps, free Apps with ads, inapp etc. :)

    If you have a great idea that hasn't been done before like so many clones of a clone of a cloned game :) lol then I would say make it a paid game. If its been done then free with iap to unlock full game. And if you want to make little fun snack sized games you can pump them out free with iAds. That's the easy part, getting your game to be noticed takes much more like marketing. I have made a little less than $1000 with Bangman which was free with 20 unlocked puzzles and .99 to unlock the full version with 400 new puzzles. That was my most successful game and I did no marketing. The rest of my games were a mix and iAds have generated me about $50 a month from them it's not much but money in is better than money out ;) good luck

    A lot of people here say, that if you're here for the money, there is a big chance that you will fail. I tend to agree with this.

    I also agree. Never think about making money. That shouldn't be the main aim.
    Sometime ago I wrote a sentence that describes my person and opinion about it!

    "The dream of creating and developing amazing mobile games is the main force for my motivation. "

    Money is not my main motivaton, don't get me wrong. But making a living making good games full time is a BIG motivation, so let me rephrase : How many of you make a full time living beeing creative with GS.

    There are a few people here that make a full living with GS but as you may know the market is very hard and you need amazing games to survive. You can have a good game and not much downloads, everything is possible.

    I mean companies like Rovio etc. don't have to care about this, they have a huge user basis and people know that their games are amazing even before they saw them. But this are other dimensions...

    Currently, without knowing what I make with Playhaven (could be an extra $50 per game) I am making approximately $150 per month. This has slowly built up over time of course. The most important aspect is Marketing your apps. Even so, $1800 a year - $299 Gamesalad Pro - $99 Apple Developer is still $1402. Obviously this can't be my Day job yet, however it is a nice Vacation or a Nice Bonus. All about Perspective.

    Didn't your Mother teach you it's impolite to ask people about money?

    @LeonardDeveloper

    You're right, Jack; so I'm going to close this thread.

    Just to say, @nypraise I know you're asking this with good intentions, but as has been said, this type of thread isn't allowed in these Forums.
