Still having image input issues!

So I created my characters in illustrator then exported them out as png's at 72 ppi. I then took that image into photoshop and changed image. I changed the size of it so that it's width and height was divisable by 4 and the size I wanted it to be in GameSalad. I also made sure that it was 72 ppi but when bringing the image into GameSalad it still is making my images blurry and not as crisp as they shoud be. I thought I was doing this all correctly but what do I need to do to get this to all work and look correctly???

make sure the image size inside GS is also divisible by 4 and right size. By default it is 100 x 100, so if your image is bigger than that, that can be the reason of blur.

I actually make my images in photoshop twice the size that I want them in my game. (i.e. If I want a 256x256 image in my gs game, I'll make it 512x512 in photoshop, and it still displays as 256x256 when placed in GS.) As well as I read somewhere that the ideal Pixels/Inch is 163, this is what I use and the images look great.

Are you changing the size of your image once it's in Gamesalad? If you are enlarging it it will likely loose quality.

Just FYI ppi/dpi should always be 72.

I read that in GS everything needs to be 72 ppi? So what is it? 72 or 163?

    As stated above, 72 ppi.
