Apps created besides "games" w/ gamesalad

Anyone working with apps that aren't games? I just started but see def potential in quiz & interactive ebooks using GS. Just curious what people have gone "outside the box" to create non-game apps (also - is apple VERY strict in rejecting apps that could have been web pages ?). The "tables" element of course is critical & I love the previous posts on using tables to update actor attributes for in-app logic

    I have put 9 and a half months, full time, into a sticker book app. It is such a smooth app. At least half the work was optimizing the "feeling" of the experience. I'm seriously proud of this project. It'll be out October 1st. Just got accepted today by Apple, so now I can push it like mad and get some more buzz going before the release. I've even received some major interest for implementation in a few school districts where I live.

    I've made a fact app with gamesalad and it performed extremely well! It's still only laying around on my computer though.. lol

    @ carlblanchet -- I have a fact app brewing too... I'm working on a billiards training tool, dunno how it'll pan out -- gonna try & reuse same table & a few balls placing them via table values

    My app Pandeiro do Capoeira is a tambourine. Works pretty good. I used the motion detector for the bell ring. The lite version still has over 15 downloads a day after a year or so.

    I used GameSalad to create "Tweet Magic HD" which generates custom tweets

    1. Define your Twitter template.
    2. Run your template and fill in the blanks.
    3. Tweet magic will build your custom Tweet for you.

    You can create up to 1000 custom twitter templates.

    Two years ago I made an app to create a melody for musicians with a creative block: Musician's Little Helper

    Game Salad can be used for many kind of apps. And now with the implementing of tables is even more easy.

    @neontetra This is very interesting,, so this essentially is classed as a children's book, and it happens to have a few interactive elements? I would love to do something like this when i finish my current project..

    I have created 2 interactive books and mini games using templates. My first app was approved after two weeks of learning game salad.
