Did anyone participate in Barnes & Noble Back to School promotion "Bring Your New Kids Focused Apps To NOOK by July 16 and Receive Guaranteed Marketing Exposure"? I am curious because I saw no marketing whatsoever and the B&N developer team has been avoiding the topic. I am curious if anyone saw any "Guaranteed" marketing or heard from B&N if they supposedly ran the promotion?

Thanks!

I finally got a reply from the Developer Support at B&N, it looks like "Guaranteed" marketing means if you click the childrens banner rotating on the home page, your app will be included there.

Yeah I believe some of the devs here did take part in that. Forget who, though. :P

I participated, and my game, My Monster, sat in the top 100 for about 2 weeks. It was a big boon actually.

I think its like anything else pretty much. If it was gonna do good in the first place it probably did good. If it wasn't. Well then you got the same result. Sorry to be so negative. I just See Nooks "marketing promos" as a gimmick to get a new flood of apps on their store.

And When you flood a room theres only so much space on top, so somebody's got to drown. :(
