    My MAC desktop app has been 'waiting for review' for 20days! I'm optimistic though because the iOS versions were approved. What do you mean by Web use? What did they say they did not like about the name?

    Yes, after almost a month waiting I got this from apple:
    "The app name to be displayed on the App Store does not sufficiently match the name of the app when installed on Mac OS X.

    iTunes Connect Name: the Night of Aphids!
    App Name when Installed: Output4"

    when I check the app in the .pkg the name has really changed to something like "OutputXXX",

    don't know if it's a bug on GS 10.0 or web publishing.. here is the picture

    I got rejected, after 3 weeks, for the same thing and they also want to know why I have the following entitlement [com.apple.security.network.server]. I don't know what to tell them, I am not sure why my game would need that entitlement? Do you guys know, or how I could turn that entitlement off. Please let me know if you ever get a Mac app published on the store.

    Thanks!

    I all ready publish three apps with that problem; what do you suggest
    me to do? i only can reject tese apps.
    i'm italian i didn't get it.

    The fix for this is in QA. No ETA just yet, but it's being addressed.
    Is this error in GS engine or publish sever ?

    I'm very convinced that now we can't publish games on Mac Appstore!

    I also tried with the 0.94, it compile my game fine, but when I try to load the app it crashes on application loader! there is a problem with the icons! I think the icon now should be only 1024x1024 and 0.94 does not allow you to use resolutions higher than 512x512...uff...

    So i concluded, the 0.10 does not work for sure i have the problem of the changed name !
    And the 0.94 version does not allow you to load an icon to 1024x1024 so you can not load the game with application loader!
    Yesterday I did the license for Mac Appstore I have 20 games ready and I can not post them! please help GS fix soon this problem!

    @JustMe74 i don't believe!
    anyway i think:
    if we opening manually the .pkg and rename the name changed? and then submit to Apple? so for example if we rename Output64.app in Mygame.App it might work?
    but how to unpack the pkg files and after repack it?

    I try but i think it's impossible to do; what we can do is waiting for a GS update.

    @pinkio75
    It's true. First there was an issue in late July where Apple stopped accepting apps that weren't sandboxed, even if you were updating an existing app. GS didn't support that until .10. Then in .10 there is this issue... not to mention the fact that on many (all?) Mountain Lion systems you can't even sign your app.

    I've had customers complaining about a bug now for months... the bug was simple to fix but I haven't been able to publish the update.

    When did you publish your game? are you sure your game was created by GS 10.0 ? if so, can you check the .app file in the pkg and please tell us if the name changed.

    Why we don't have any support about this issue?
    maybe there is a way to rename the file?

    @saladstraightshooter

    My latest submission to the mac app store was rejected for the same reason as above - "app name when installed: Output 18" .... see below.... any idea as to when this will be resolved? Rather frustrating... publishing to the mac app store has been broken for a while. And we're loosing revenue...

    Also bare in mind that its taking almost 5 weeks for a review on the mac app store... so even when a fix is issued it'll take over a month for our feedback...

    Many Thanks

    Are people still able to publish with 0.9.9.4 and have it approved for the mac app store?

    I'll be submitting my first mac app soon so would be good to know...
  • SearleSamaSearleSama Member Posts: 108
    no you can't publish to mac app store with the .9.9.4 because apple requires 1024x1024 icon and sandboxing for publishing which 9.9.4 can do neither. just gotta wait for a hotfix...
  • HoneyTribeStudiosHoneyTribeStudios Member Posts: 1,792
    Damn. I was planning on releasing a new game on all formats on the same day.

    Looks like the mac version will be delayed.

    ETA for .11?
    Completely ridiculous that Mac App Store publishing has been broken for this long.

    @SaladStraightShooter Really we're still waiting for this fix? Its been broken over a month now! I agree with @JustMe74 this is ridiculous!
