ipad resolution???

i want to make a game for iPad (all ipad1,2 and 3) what size should i make my graphic at? 1024X768 or bigger?
i want a nice crisp graphic.

    1024x768 px is the resolution of iPad 1 and 2. If you want it also for the iPad 3 then you need to use 2048x1536 px.

    if i make the game to ipad3 2048x1536 will it work with other iPad

    Yes, with resolution independence checked.

    Use the default setup for iPad in the GameSalad Creator, and make sure "resolution independence" is checked. Then make all of your graphics twice the size that they need to be. For instance, if you know for a fact that an actor will need to be 256x128 onscreen, just make your graphic 512x256 and GameSalad will handle the rest for retina graphics. It will work on both older iPads, and iPad 3's.
