Particle Motion

Is there a way to make the behavior of a particle sway from left to right? For example, a snowflake falling and drifting from left to right towards the ground or ember ashes rising up and drifting in the wind at random? I know how to change the color of the ember so it burns out to ashes, but would like to modify the behavior to give it a sort of drifting from left to right motion as it rises. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks, Jason!

That will probably work well for what I am trying to do. Thanks a lot for the help gyroscope!

But just for future reference, is there a way to keep changing the direction pf a s[awned particle from left to right using behaviors or some added code? Thanks again!

    You're welcome. :-)

In answer to your question, there's no way to add any rules/behaviours to any individual particle that's created, unfortunately. They are all governed by the one set of rules in the Particle Behaviour.... but adding random in certain places as well as moving the actor that has the particle behaviour can get close to simulating different types of movement from the one set of particles (like my example).

This is why I create my particle effects in Motion and export them as an animation.

@FryingBaconStudios what kind of export settings do you using in motion?

I export as image sequence and it exports as PNGs. When I create my project I set it to a FPS of 10 and then adjust my project dimensions after I make the effect and then export.
