So after all this time I am about to release the first app/s. Its not a game but a narrated storybook of Dickens' A Christmas Carol. 250 or so drawings, an hour and half of narration and available start of Dec with the hopeful blessing of the review fairies of Infinite Curve. There are to be iPhone and iPad versions with the first half an hour free as one app for Ipad and another for iPod and IPhone.

The art is by an old mate called Mike Cole, and the narration by another call Christian Rodska who does a lot of radio drama on the BBC. To find out more please do drop by the new facebook page and 'like' it if you do. There will be much more up on the page over the next few weeks and a few surprises.

Our main objective has been to tell a darn good tale in a very simple way. The app plays like a read storybook, with memory for position in story, (and a few other minor treats in the menus). Mike has taken nearly 2 years to adapt the artwork from his old graphic novel, while I've been doing almost everything else (including working out every possible ruse to get the whole 90 minutes and 250 images under the 3g download limit). It surprising what you can do with an air pump with a reversed valve. I just hope Apple don't use a very different version of Zip than I do... (or open the app in a confined space).

all in all I'm rather proud of it.

Here be a couple of panning backgrounds. This weekend I'm onto making a promo video of the app, and will hope to post it in the next few days. If anyone is old enough and Brit, then they will remember Jackanory. This app is pretty much that with control on a device. Just wish I could have Kenneth Williams do narration on the next one. cheers kipper
