What I mean is a game that will change depending on the time of day. Some examples might be changing music to fit night or day, changing the background, different responses from NPCs, etc.
@wickedsunny Ive been working on a game for a while that has this feature (which is why I made the poll) and when its done, do you mind if I send you a link to the arcade version or a lite version? I would like to see what you think of it.
@wickedsunny Ok, here is a link to a lite version of it for Mac. I would test it at 9 AM, noon, and 9 PM to see the difference. Thanks for trying it out!
I remember my first experiences would typically be entering a forest and this would pop up:
"What a horrible night to have a curse." Aww...crap!
Or I'd barely survive the forest and find refuge without freaking floating medusa heads:
"The morning sun has vanquished the horrible night." Well...that would have been convenient sometime in the damn forest!!!
Yeah, day/night cycles are cool when they have purpose. Different obstacles, enemies, natural predators, nocturnal creatures and special evens that only take place at night can make a game far more engaging if done right (Farcry 2 let this go to waste).

(Anyone else who sees this can download it too if you like.)
