quick question before I upgrade to pro.....

Just want to verify something, if I upgrade to pro can I export my games for my own use, or do I have to upload only to the gamesalad store / website??

Thanks,
Mike

Not quite sure what you mean by "For my own use" - Can you expand upon this?
You have to publish through GameSalad...But the app is yours no matter what.

If you explain this more maybe I can help out a bit more. Sorry!

Lets say I dont want to publish my game, I just want to make a game and try it out on my iPod / iPhone. Say I think my game is lame ,and dont want others to see it until I have gotten friends opinions..... can I just export from gamesalad and put it on my iPhone or mobile device?

Even if your account is not pro, the game is yours to do what you want with. You can upload it on app stores, install it on specific devices only, or play it on your computer.

Even better example so people don't think i'm asking something shady here. I am an electrician by day, I use ohm's law constantly, say I want to make an app with all of the shortcuts for ohms law and dont want it out there for public use, is this possible?

I guess what I am really asking is this, when I hit the publish button, does the app automatically upload to the gamesalad server for sale or does it just publish and allow me to download the app to do what I want with it?

I apologize for being so noob, I am by no means a game developer, I always wanted to go to school for it but at 40 and settled in my life, raising a family etc etc its just an unattainable goal at this point in time. I saw game salad and thought it would be an awesome tool for me to play with and kinda live my childhood fantasy of being a game dev lol especially when I saw the words "NO CODING REQUIRED" haha! Thanks for understanding! I am by no means trying to offend anyone or be difficult.

Once you publish, it's not going up for sale. Its your app.

Also, you could probably just send an adhoc version of your app to some buddies if you don't want to release it on an App Store. Hopefully. Understand what your asking.

Not sure if there's an easier way to do this, though.

I believe you need an Apple developer account to make an ad hoc app to send to your friends for testing. (There are some videos on YouTube about how to do this. Watch and ) Once you have the ad hoc, the easiest way I've found to send it to other people is to use TestFlightApp.com.
