Hi, this is concerning a design competition I've entered. The competition is to design a poster as a flyer for a book about maps that has come out; I've uploaded my entry; I'd be grateful if you'd take a look at all the entries and simply vote for your favourite. :-)

PS I don't think this post is breaking any Forum rules despite being non-GS as it's in the Miscellaneous section.... but if any other Sous, or Head Chef thinks it is, then I'll gladly delete it.

Here's the website with more details about the comp., and the entries so far (including mine, as mentioned):

Thanks!

PPS You might even think about entering the competition yourself – it doesn't close until 19 November....

Hi, last bump probably - it'd be great if you'd vote for your favourite design

: anyone else going to be entering the competition?

PS There's another competition running on the site if you're interested:

Here's my test file I've been working on today that I'm basing my entry on; I thought some of you might like to see it; hope you like it! (It's about a parallel world where nano technology has gone crazy) >>>

Me again, bumping a thread that maybe not many people are interested in... ;-)

I said last bump last time but then thought you'd be interested in seeing my finished entry for the Murakami Parallel Worlds Photo Competition. It's a bit different from my test -the image shown above - although based on it; I tried to make it look less illustration-like this time around.

My entry is the one with the name MagicalRealised under it. If you have a Facebook account, you could vote for me, if you wanted......... ;-) Click Vote then the Like button... If you do, a big thank you!

Either way, I hope you like it; it's a bit of fun (and I enjoyed doing it). :-)

My other design competition entry is here (again, the name MagicalRealised under it):

It's a bit tongue-in-cheek on purpose but perhaps my "dry" sense of humour misses the mark with some people.... such is life! Anyhow, any votes for this, if you like it, will be appreciated too.

OK, unless someone comments in this thread, I promise I won't bump it any more...

    @LeonardDeveloper @Braydon_SFX

Thanks guys, that's very much appreciated! :-)

The only thing is, your votes don't seem to have registered; sorry to be a pain, but as well as clicking on Vote, you also click Like on the next page... did you do that, can I ask?

    ------

If anyone else would like to Vote (then next click Like but you have to be on Facebook) that'd be terrific too, thanks vm!

Hi, the Murakami comp is finished now and although the judging is still ongoing, I doubt I'll get anywhere with my entry because it didn't get any points/Likes... :(( ;-)

Never mind; anyhow, I thought I'd post it here for you to look at, just for interest. I was quite pleased with it; anyone else like it?

Here's the description I gave it: "This image represents a parallel world where nanotechnology – developed to the extreme – has now broken away from the control of scientists, to become self-replicating organic quantum computers in the outside world. The three main components of this image (tree, sky and wall) are Photoshop-manipulated from original photos that I took on holiday last year (in the Isle of Wight)."

Awesome work man!! Who cares what the judges decide, you should be thrilled with coming up with something this good either way. Good luck :)

Lol, sorry @gyroscope I missed this thread entirely. I now know why, Hurricane Sandy. You're timing is terrible, just terrible! Very cool, very Giger/Dali-esque.
