Does making an image invisible and out of scene has effect on resources or memory being used?

For my next game, I am planning to use lots of backgrounds and image and to do everything in one scene, so I will be interpolating thenm on and off screen. So if there are too many actors in one screen, it can cause some lag.

If I make them invisible when they are out of the camera and scene, will that reduce some memory load and save resources?

And based upon your game, you may want to stop the actor from moving when not visible or off the scene - change self.motion.linearVelocity X and Y to 0.

If an actor is never going to be visible or even have a display text, change the Graphics->Visible attribute to false.
