Hi, been away from GS a while so new to this overscanning feature.
Can I design a game for the iPhone 5 and resize it for previous iPhones? or Do I design them normal for previous iPhones and use that overscan so it stretches the game for the iPhone 5?

Thanks

if you design a game for iPhone4, iphone 5 will have the tops cut off. If you design a game for iPhone5, iphone4 will have the sides cut off.

play around with the preview button in GS, there is a dropdown menu to simulate the crop ratio, it's pretty cool as long as you plan ahead.

I will be getting a new mac this weekend but I just want to be clear on what to do. I want to make a game for my iPhone 5 but also I want it to work on previous iPhone screen sizes.
So should I design a game for iPhone 5 then use the overscan so it also fit previous iPhones or should I design for previous iPhones and use the overscan to make it fit the iPhone 5?

How would you guys do it?
    What would work best?
is there any videos/tutorials for this?

    Thanks

I would design for iPhone 5 and just be aware that the sides will be cropped. You can play around with the overscan preview to see how much and design around it
